Salmi 109
1God whom I praise, do not be silent, 2For the wicked and deceitful attack me; 3They surround me and say hateful things, 4In return for my love they accuse me, 5They repay me evil for good, 6Appoint a wicked man over such an enemy as these people; 7When he is judged, may he be found guilty; 8May his days be few; 9May his children be fatherless, 10May his children wander about and beg, 11May the creditor take all he owns; 12May no one extend any kindness to him; 13May his children be cut off; 14May his ancestors' sins be mentioned to Yahweh; 15May their guilt always be before Yahweh; 16May Yahweh do this because this man never bothered to show any covenant faithfulness, 17He loved cursing; may it come back upon him. 18He clothed himself with cursing as his garment, 19May his curses be to him like the clothes he wears to cover himself, 20May this be the reward of my accusers from Yahweh, 21Yahweh my Lord, deal kindly with me for your name's sake. 22For I am oppressed and needy, 23I am fading away like the shadow of the evening; 24My knees are weak from fasting; 25I am disdained by my accusers; 26Help me, Yahweh my God; 27May they know that this is your doing, 28Though they curse me, please bless me; 29May my adversaries be clothed with shame; 30With my mouth I give great thanks to Yahweh;
