Psalmen 47

1Clap your hands, all you peoples: to God in ringing cries. 2For the Lord is most high and dread, a great king over all the earth. 3He subdues the peoples under us, the nations under our feet; 4he chooses our heritage for us, the glory of Jacob whom he loves. Selah 5God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. 6Sing praise to our God, sing praises: to our king, sing praises. 7For king of all earth is he: praise God in a skilful song. 8God is king over all the nations, on his holy throne.
