Psalm 72

1Give the king your righteous decrees, God, 2May he judge your people with righteousness 3May the mountains produce peace for the people; 4May he judge the poor of the people; 5May they honor you while the sun endures, 6May he come down like rain on the mown grass, 7May the righteous flourish in his days, 8May he have dominion from sea to sea, 9May those who live in the wilderness bow down before him; 10May the kings of Tarshish and of the islands render tribute; 11Indeed, may all kings fall down before him; 12For he helps the needy person who cries out 13He has pity on the poor and needy, 14He redeems their lives from oppression and violence, 15May he live! May the gold of Sheba be given to him. 16May there be abundance of grain in the land; 17May his name endure forever; 18May Yahweh God, the God of Israel, be blessed, 19May his glorious name be blessed forever,
