1Ascribe to the , Lordyou heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lordglory and power 2Ascribe to the Lordthe glory he manifests: bow to the Lordin holy array. 3The ’s Lordvoice peals on the waters. The God of glory has thundered. He peals o’er the mighty waters. 4The ’s Lordvoice sounds with strength, the ’s Lordvoice sounds with majesty. 5The ’s Lordvoice breaks the cedars, he breaks the cedars of Lebanon, 6making Lebanon dance like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox. 7The ’s Lordvoice hews out flames of fire. 8The ’s Lordvoice rends the desert, he rends the desert of Kadesh. 9The ’s Lordvoice whirls the oaks, and strips the forests bare; and all in his temple say ‘Glory.’ 10The Lordwas king at the flood, the Lordsits throned forever.
