1And after him rose up Nathan 2As is the fat when it is separated from the peace offering, separated from the children of Israel. 3He played with lions as with kids, 4In his youth did he not kill a giant, 5For he called upon the Most High Lord; 6So they glorified him for his ten thousands, 7For he destroyed the enemies on every side, 8In every work of his he gave thanks to the Holy One Most High with words of glory; 9Also he set singers before the altar, The remainder of this verse is omitted by the best authorities. 10He gave comeliness to the feasts, 11The Lord took away his sins, 12After him rose up a son, a man of understanding; 13Solomon reigned in days of peace; 14How wise was you made in your youth, 15Your soul covered the earth, dark parables. Gr. parables of riddles. 16Your name reached to the aisles afar off; 17For your songs and proverbs and parables, 18By the name of the Lord God, 19You did bow your loins to women, 20You did blemish your honor, 21So that the sovereignty was divided, 22But the Lord will never forsake his mercy; 23And so rested Solomon with his fathers; Even the foolishness of the people, and one that lacked understanding, 24And their sins were multiplied exceedingly, 25For they sought out all manner of wickedness,
