1A person who has received many rebukes but who stiffens his neck 2When righteous people increase, the people rejoice, 3Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice, 4The king establishes the land by justice, 5A man who flatters his neighbor 6In the sin of an evil person is a trap, 7The righteous person knows the rights of the poor; 8Mockers set a city on fire, 9When a wise person has an argument with a fool, 10The bloodthirsty hate the one who is blameless 11A fool reveals all his anger, 12If a ruler pays attention to lies, 13The poor person and the oppressor are similar, 14If a king judges the poor by the truth, 15The rod and reproof give wisdom, 16When wicked people are in power, transgression increases, 17Discipline your son and he will give you rest; 18Where there is no prophetic vision the people run wild, 19A slave will not be corrected by words, 20See a man who is hasty in his words? 21One who pampers his slave from youth, 22An angry person stirs up strife 23A person's pride brings him low, 24One who shares with a thief hates his own life; 25The fear of man makes a snare, 26Many are those who seek the face of the ruler,
